Zubat are interesting bats. Compleatly blind they use high frequency sound waves to see like sonar, this is a common trait in bats however it is particularly accute in Zubat bacause over millions of years they have lost the need for eyes and so have none. it is a myth however that zubat have no nose at all, infact they have very small ones just above their mouth. It is beleived that they have such tiny noses it due to being aero-dynamic, their bretheren with large noses must continuosly flap to stay aloft, Zubat however can glide.

They have what look like two long tails, however these are acually singular toes, each with a small claw on the end.
The amazing thing about these is they are actually double jointed and allows the Zubat a unique way of landing onto branches as they fly over and let these toes wrap around them. They sleep upside down because cannot launch themselves into flight from the ground, like birds do. This is because their wings are not as powerful as that of the birds and they cannot produce the necessary lift for starting a flight. The hind legs of Zubats are also not strong or developed making it possible for them to run and gain the momentum for flight.
They live in large colonies in huge cave systems or in very big trees.

They are nocturnal and hunt insects in the night like moths and mosquitos. Insome regions Zubats have developed a taste for blood, they usually drink from livestock but have been known to attack humans when starving. They can also drain energy by drinking vital nutriants and sugars from the body, leaving their victims weak and ill.
They eat many poisonus insects but dont die, instead they use the poison to their advantage and secreet it from their gums, this way they can give a painful and poisonus bite when attacked.

They are slightly hard to train but once you do they are a handy pokemon to have in a sticky battle.

Hope you like it :)

What about vampire bats, which land on creatures to suck their blood? They have to get off somehow. Obviously if their feasting on cattle or some large creature they can just jump off and fly away, but the ones that suck human blood land on horizontal surfaces and then somehow get back into the air. They must have some way to get back to a proper flight level.
