Chansey are one of the most friendly and loyal pokemon there is. They have excelent mothering skills and have even been known to look after other pokemons eggs for them if they are not well or fit enough to, a rare thing to see in nature. Chansey are symilar to platapus's, they are mammels that lay eggs. thought this is not unheard of in nature it is still rather rare. They keep the eggs warm by carrying them in their pouch until they hatch. When that does happen the young are handed over to a surrogate mother that looks after many babies at a time, this is known as a 'nurser', but as Chansey live in such closley loving families, parental duties are shared among the family. Because of their loving and caring nature, Chansey are used a lot in pokecentres to help with calming the pokemon down. Chansey live in burrows under the ground but not many people have seen a Chanseys den as they are so well hidden and protected. Chansey, though being a lovable creature, having no fear of man, has become rare as they were hunted for their furs for many years until it became illegal. Now conservationists are trying to bring back this pokemon from the edge of extinction and revitalising their population. Do not underestamate this pokemon however as they are powerful fighters, especially when battling for a cause. Chansey only breed once a year and for a very short amount of time, scientists have tried many things to get them to mate, including Chansey viagra but the struggle still continues.
