Butterfrees are gracful but delecate pokemon.

They eat pollen and in the summer when all the Meatpod evolve they take flight in the hundreds to feed on the flowering plants.

They eat the nectar of certain large flowers and love to lick the sweet pamber from trees.
A commen sight is with Venusaur herds were thousands of butterfree will feed from their flowers.
this is a natural thing and the Venusaurs gladly let the Butterfree feed. Its a wonderful sight to see a large herd of vensaur surrounded by flocking Butterfree.

Butterfrees have long tounges to drink nectar but unlike its cousin the Beautifly, it can also eat solid wet food. Special bug type food can be baught at local Pokemarts in your town.

Butterfrees must be own by careful owners, their wings cannot be touched at all as they are made of a light powdery substance that allows them to fly, if you touch it it will rub off and if too much is rubbed off then the butterfree can die. Luckly some people have come up with a cynthasised powder that can fix the wounds on the wings, but you can always see if one has been fixed because they have dull patches on their wings.

Butterfrees are often mistreated as their trainers want to cuddle them etc unknowingly hurting them. So now you must get checkups at all pokecentres once a month to get them checked up on.
