Vaporeons are special canines.

When an Evee is exposed to the radiation that is emmited from a water stone it will evolve into a water type pokemon.

They are truly amazing creatures. They have both air breathing lungs and mammelian gills (which are very rare in the world) meaning its the perfect amphibian. It has quick legs to walk on land and a powerful tail in the water.

Vaporeon is built for fast swimming. When it swims it holds its legs close to is body and swim powerfully through the water (symilar to a dolphin), its fin like ears dierect it through the water and its fin sheild stops any water resistance from the shoulders when swimming.

Its fur has a oily substance in it to stop its fur getting water clogged. It has a large bshy tail but because of the oil, when its swimming it flattens down allwing it to swim very fast. they have smaller water bladders than other water pokemon but can build up far more prssure, their water guns have been known to dent steel doors!

There are no known 'wild' vaporeon as near all were evolved by trainers. But in a pokemon sanctury near Hoenn they have a pack of seven vapoureon, bred in captivity and the released into the park to watch their behaviour, five females and two males.
the pack is ultimatly lead by an alpha female and the rest follow. They live on the edge of a large lake called 'mirror lake'. this is because most of the day the lake is compleatly still, like a mirror.

There are strong current under the water at mirror lake and the vaporeons ride these currents catching fish etc.
They usually eat fish, but in some cases will catch small birds and mammels.

Vaporeon have an unusual defence mechanism. There were once talk of vaporeons being able to turn into water, this is not true, however they can turn essentially invisible.
using colour frequencys in their fur they can change their colour to look like the bottom of the lake, avoiding danger. That is why the vaporeon at Mirror lake are always tracked using sonar equiptment.

Vaporeons are very loyal and protective of their owners, but are very proud creatures, so you must respect them for their power.
