Growlithe are loyal and easily trained pokemon.

They are becoming rarer and rarer in wild but are now a well known familt pet. when they are young they have a lot of energy so they need a lot of attention and love.

The down sides to them is that they sed a lot of hair, they slobber and tend to set things alight.

Their fur is symilar to many mammelian fire type pokemon where they have fire resistant hair and secreet a fire repelant oil that they spread through their fur with their large tounges.

They have large fire 'lungs' where methane from their diet builds up until they relase it and is ignited by a small spark which is a reminance of its electric type cousins.
This accounts to many fire types, both reptilian and mamelian. however a few fire type pokemon have other forms of creating fire by combining different chemicals.
